Hey there!

This month The Mobile Vet Nurse is celebrating seven years of caring for your pets!!

It's been so much fun serving you and your incredible companions. I know the next seven years are going to be even more exciting!!

Introducing Our New Website

Last month we launched our new website. You can check it out at www.themobilevetnurse.co.nz. You will find a full list of our services, as well as some useful pet care products in our store. Moving forward, we will be adding articles and products to assist you with caring for your pets in between our visits.

What Happens to Your Pet in An Emergency?
Emergencies do happen and may have a serious impact on your pets. Some, such as natural disasters, could prevent you from evacuating them to safety. Others, such as being in an accident, or suddenly falling ill, may leave your pets with no one to take care of them.

We believe it is important for pet owners to be prepared for emergencies, and have developed some simple tools to help you get ready.

Natural Disasters
Canterbury has had more than its fair share of natural disasters in the past seven years.

During every event we hear stories about emergency services and volunteers going above and beyond to rescue cats, dogs, rabbits, and other animals from disaster zones. Sadly, we also hear too many heartbreaking stories about animals who didn't make it.

To help you help your pets in an emergency, we have produced a simple to follow Pet Emergency Management Plan template for you to download from our website.

Personal Emergencies

Unfortunately, accidents and medical events tend to happen when you least expect them (or need them). What happens to your pet if you are unconscious or seriously injured, and end up in hospital?

When you plan ahead, you won't have to worry. The best way to do this is to organise a pet support person who can be contacted to look after your pets if needed. Our Home Alone Alert Cards are clearly identifiable, and small enough to carry in your wallet or mobile phone cover.

Complete the details on the back, and put the card in with your Drivers Licence or other Photo ID.

Our 7th Birthday Special Offer - Buy One Get One Free

The Home Alone Alert Cards are normally $4.95 (incl. GST) each.

As part of our birthday celebrations, when you order a card, we have a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE deal (both cards the same animal).

There are three animal options available:

  • My Cat is Home Alone!
  • My Dog in Home Alone!
  • My Pets are Home Alone!

It's the perfect time to order one for each person in your immediate family, one for your workplace, and one to keep in a prominent place at home.

And because we ship anywhere in the world, they make thoughtful gifts for your loved ones too.

We look forward to catching up with you in person at your next appointment. If you need to book one of our services now, please call 027 479 5005 or email info@themobilevetnurse.co.nz

Love and hugs
